A trip in Denver, Colorado, will not be complete if it doesn’t visit Elitch Gardens. Locally referred to as “Elitch’s,” it is an amusement park that is owned by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment and is managed through Premier Parks, LLC. Elitch Gardens was not simply an amusement park we all visit today. It was also:
- The first zoos to be found were located in West Chicago
- The location for Denver’s very first orchestra, a symphony.
- The first Colorado-based Children Museum and Activity Center
- The Denver Botanic Garden
- The area of Denver’s first motion picture theater.
Numerous additions came in 1999 when the park was officially rebranded Six Flags Elitch Gardens. The first and most notable addition as a Six Flags theme park was Boomerang: Coast to Coaster. Various Warner Bros. properties, including the Looney Tunes and DC Comics franchises, were also introduced, which included costumed characters and shows. Throughout 1999 to 2001, additions were rushed in, such as the new Looney Tunes Movietown area of the park and water rides and flat rides.
Safety Guidelines
The safety protocols for them are developed in line with the guidelines established by the county and city of Denver and Colorado, the State of Colorado, and other reputable organizations regarding the spread of the COVID-19 Virus.
Elitch Gardens is highly encouraging to cover up your face while in the park, specifically at restaurants, in indoor retail locations, as well as waiting in the queues for rides. If a visitor doesn’t have a face mask is available, it will be to purchase at parking booths and retail outlets within the park.
